Yaaradi Nee Mohini is a Tamil remake of Telugu film Aadavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule. Dhanush replaces Venkatesh and Nayantara replaces Trisha. Karthik Kumar is also in the cast.The music for the film will be scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

Vasu (Dhanush) is from a middle-class family. He makes several bids to obtain employment but all goes in vain due to his poor language skills and inadequate educational qualifications. All his friends settle in life but he continues to struggle to secure employment. Vasu has two good friends Cheenu (Karthik Kumar) and another friend Ganesh (Karunaas). His father (Raghuvaran) who was a teacher, always chided him for being an irresponsible person. This just added to his list of woes.
At this juncture, Vasu catches a glimpse of Keerthi (Nayanthara) and its love at first sight for him. He learns that she works for a software solutions firm. Luckily for him, Vasu finally secures employment in the same firm. Keerthi is a short-tempered young woman. Once, Vasu accompanies her along with two other colleagues (Jeeva and Manobala) to Australia. Here he reveals his feelings of love to her. She refuses him saying that she came from an orthodox family and her marriage was also arranged with her uncle's son.
A depressed Vasu returns to India thereafter. Unable to see his son in depression, his father meets Keerti. She abuses him for recommending his son's love and accidentally slaps both Vasu and his father. That night, Vasu's father dies of heart attack. In order to help change Vasu's mood, Cheenu takes him to his house. Coincidentally, Keerthi happens to be the financee of Cheenu and both of them are engaged to be married. However, their grandfather's (K. Viswanath) thoughts of getting them married earlier are put aside because Cheenu and Keerthi leave the house to have their own identity. This causes heartburn to their grandfather.
After a couple of years, the parents of Keerthi and Cheenu decide to get them married to appease their grandfather. After several turn of events, Keerthi realizes that she was in love with Vasu as well. Vasu asks her to forget him because he believes that it would create problems in their happy family. But, Cheenu's grandfather notices them converse and admonishes Keerthi for bringing disrepute to their family and asks Vasu to leave his house. Finally, everyone realizes that both are in deep love and unites them.

Azhagiya Thamizh Magan (English: Handsome Tamil Son) (2007) is a Tamil film directed by Bharathan and produced by Appachan. Vijay and Shriya Saran star in lead roles. Namitha, Santhanam and Sriman also star in supporting roles. The film's score and soundtrack is composed by noted music composer, A. R. Rahman. The film was released on November 8, 2007, coinciding with Diwali.

Guru (Vijay) is an athlete and business management student. Abhinaya (Shriya) is the daughter of a business baron (Ashish Vidyarthi). They meet and fall in love. The movie goes on to show how the lovers manage to get the permission of their parents. In the meantime, a different dimension in the tale is revealed while the romantic drama is unfolding. Vijay visualizes some bizarre scenes inside his mind. The scenes are disturbing; and worse, they become true in real life. A psychiatrist (Dr. Rudran) confirms that it is Extra Sensory Perception power and says that the imageries visualized by Guru would actually happen sooner or later. Unfortunately Guru visualizes another scene where he stabs Abi in the stomach. Sensing a danger to his sweetheart, he runs away to Mumbai. In Mumbai he stumbles upon a person who looks like himself. This gives him a different meaning of the horrible incident visualized by him. Before catching the man, also played by Vijay, Guru gets into an accident and the new man moves to Chennai where he is mistaken as Guru. Stylish and carefree Prasad, the look-alike Guru, is a greedy person, who would do anything to earn money,sleep with women and enjoy life. He meets Namitha during his travel to Chennai and sleeps with her. Abinaya mistakes him for Guru and brings him to her house. Sensing his strength, Prasad decides to act as Guru and marry the rich Abhi. The real Guru comes back and tells everyone the truth. But no one is ready to believe him, as he is outplayed by the wicked Prasad at each and every move. Finally the truth prevails, but not before a tense battle between the two. During the battle when Guru tried to kill Prasad he accidentally stabs Abhi. Guru tries to take Abhi to the hospital but Prasad knocks him out and changes into Guru's clothes so he will look like Guru in front of Abhi. Abhi recovers at the hospital and thinks Prasad is Guru again. At the hospital tells she him how bad Prasad was and how much she love Guru. When he hears this he fells guilty for what he did and tells her he is not Guru. Suddenly Guru come into the room. Guru and Abhi let Prasad walk out of the room. As Prasad walks away from the hospital Namitha appears saying she is pregnant with his child. Prasad and Namitha goes away together.
Vijay's first time portraying dual roles is defintely a highlight in the film. A.R.Rahman has done an excellent job with the music for the movie, after giving a blockbuster with Sivaji, althoudh this is not a big surprise because he is one of the best music composers in the entire world. This was also the first time Vijay and Shriya Saran co-starred together. The onscreen chemistry between Shriya and Vijay is worth mentioning, as the pair seemed natural together.

Movie description

Billa (2007) is a Tamil language feature film, directed by Vishnuvardhan. Based on the 1980 Tamil film of the same name starring Rajnikanth, as well as the 2006-released Bollywood film, Don, it was adapted by the director, who rewrote portions of the film from the original. The protagonist's role went to Ajith Kumar while the female lead's role involved a widespread search for three actresses to portray the three significant feamle roles, which eventually fell to Nayanthara, Namitha and Rose Dawn, a newcomer.

The story begins with a sadistic underworld don David Billa (Ajith). Most-wanted gangster, hiding and operating out of Malaysia, on the top of Interpol’s criminal list. A lone tiger he is, and a ruthless one at that. As he says, “Look at history. If you want to live, to survive, you can kill any number of people, for any reason.” This is Billa – scheming, clever, slippery, enigmatic and dangerous. No one knows his story, really, except that he literally clawed his way to where he is now, from an orphaned and deprived childhood to the top of the food chain. Along the way, he bent and broke every rule for not just survival, but for money, power and love of the game.

DSP Jayprakash (Prabhu) has spent a huge chunk of the last few years looking for the elusive Billa. He has left a life behind in India, only to base himself in Malaysia and strategise the capture of the man who has 50 high-profile crime cases slapped against him. As luck would have it, his path does cross Billa’s and from then on, it’s a rollercoaster ride.
The Malaysian team is headed by the DSP Jai Prakash (Prabhu Ganesan) who wants to break the back of the operations of the Underworld Dons. He believes that capturing the dangerous and elusive underworld don, David Billa, will be the most effective way of accomplishing this. Billa's gang consist of Ranjith and C.J (Namitha). Soon, Sasha (Nayanthara) joins them but she has other plans - kill Billa. Billa was responsible for killing her brother Rajesh as well as his fiancee.
During a chase with the police Billa is seriously wounded after an accident and dies in front of the DSP. The DSP then secretly holds a burying of Billa. He keeps it a secret even from his fellow officers, and tracks down a look-alike called Velu, a lowly pick-pocket(also played by Ajith Kumar). He asks Velu to infiltrate Billa's gang by pretending to be Billa. In return he will make sure that the child Velu adopted, Karan gets a proper education.
The DSP trains Velu and sends him back to Billa's gang. When Velu secretly provides information to the DSP about a meeting of Billa's Network, He accidentally kills C.J. A shootout occurs at the party and the DSP is killed by Jagdish (Rahman) who had come to take over the investigation from the DSP as Interpol Officer Gokulnath; and Velu is forced to run from the police as well as Billa's gang members - pursuing the last piece of evidence (a Pen drive) which has all of Billa's criminal activities loaded on it, a Pen Drive which can get him out of this mess.
Through various plot twists, the DSP's Aid in the case gets the Pen drive and strikes a deal to get hold of Jagdish. Velu arranges a meeting with Jagdish and assists in his capture. In a final confrontation, Jagdish gets shot by a squad of police and dies. Velu finally hands over the Pen drive to the police.by this way the film ends
